SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA JUNIOR AMATEUR GOLF CHAMPIONSHIP INFORMATION
8th SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA JUNIOR AMATEUR GOLF CHAMPIONSHIP:
Morongo Golf Club at Tukwet Canyon, Beaumont
October 15-16, 2022
CHAMPIONSHIP FORMAT:
- 36 holes; stroke play.
- Up to 90 boys will compete in the championship on the Legends Course.
- Up to 90 girls will compete in the championship on the Champions Course.
- This is a walking-only event
Saturday, October 15: Round 1 (18 holes).
Sunday, October 16: Round 2 (18 holes).
ELIGIBILITY: This championship is open to Southern California amateur golfers with an established USGA Handicap Index of 5.4 or less (boys) or 9.4 or less (girls) at the time of registration. Entrants must not have reached their 19th birthday as of October 16, 2022.
EXEMPTIONS:
All exempt players must still meet eligibility requirements and register online for the championship prior to the entry closing date. The current list of exemptions can be found online by clicking here.
REGISTRATION DATES:
Monday, August 15 – September 14, 2022 (Exempt players).
Thursday, September 15 – September 28, 2022, at 8:00 a.m. PST (Non-exempt players).
CHAMPIONSHIP INFORMATION & PAIRINGS: Complete tournament details, including information about practice rounds, pairings, starting times, and yardages played, will be emailed and posted on scga.org/junioram and scpgajrtour.com after entries close.
ENTRY FEE: $225
LATE ENTRIES: The SCGA accepts late entries, assuming there is still space available at the given event. Late entries will be subject to an additional $20 fee and can only be processed over the phone or through email.
REFUND POLICY: Requests for refunds prior to the entry closing date will be honored less a $20 administrative fee. Requests received after the entry closing date and 48 hours prior to the event will be honored less 50% of the entry fee. No refunds will be honored within 48 hours of the event.
